Coach Brian Giroux
Triple Seven Jiu-Jitsu is proud to introduce Coach Brian Giroux, a dynamic and accomplished instructor with a wealth of experience in both martial arts and leadership. A U.S. military veteran and an active-duty service member, Brian brings a unique blend of discipline, resilience, and technical expertise to the mats, offering students an exceptional training experience grounded in real-world experience and dedication.
Brian's journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) began in 2019 at the renowned Bernardo Faria Academy, where he quickly developed a deep passion for the sport. As a purple belt, his commitment to the art is matched by his focus on continuous improvement, and he's dedicated to sharing his knowledge with his students. His approach emphasizes not only technical proficiency but also mental toughness - traits that were cultivated through his background in both sports and military service.
Before venturing into the world of Jiu-Jitsu, Brian was a college football player, where he honed the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These qualities carried over seamlessly when he transitioned into nearly two decades of service in the U.S. military, where he served in Infantry and Special Operations Forces (SOF) units. His career included multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, where he gained invaluable leadership experience and learned to thrive in high-pressure environments.
Despite the demands of his active-duty military career, Brian remains deeply committed to teaching and mentoring. He uses his diverse experiences - whether on the football field, in combat, or on the mats - to foster an environment of focus, hard work, and respect at Triple Seven Jiu-Jitsu. Coach Brian's lessons go beyond just techniques; they instill the mental fortitude necessary to succeed both in martial arts and in life.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Brian is a devoted husband and father of three, demonstrating the same dedication to his family as he does to his students. His life is a testament to the values of service, commitment, and balance, making him not just a coach, but a mentor who leads by example.
Coach Brian Giroux's journey is an inspiration, and his unique perspective on discipline, leadership, and personal development makes him an exceptional addition to the Triple Seven JiuJitsu team. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, Brian's guidance will help you grow as an athlete and as a person.
